Fox Chase Cancer Center Offers Smoking Cessation Program

PHILADELPHIA (December 28, 2000) -- If your New Year's resolution is to quit smoking, Fox Chase Cancer Center can help!

Fox Chase Cancer Center is offering a smoking cessation program on Tuesday, January 9, 2001 and on the first Tuesday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at its satellite office at 432 Rhawn St. in Northeast Philadelphia.

The Fox Chase program will help participants quit smoking through education, medical intervention and/or complementary medicine, such as hypnotherapy. Participants will learn to change their smoking behaviors and to cope with the effects of withdrawal. The educational component of this program includes helpful information about nutrition and exercise as well.
