Board of Associates Presents Annual Donation to Fox Chase Cancer Center

PHILADELPHIA, PA (November 10, 2014)—The Board of Associates, a long standing group of volunteers who support patient care and cancer research at Fox Chase Cancer Center through various fundraising efforts, recently presented their annual donation of $710,200 to Fox Chase President and CEO Richard I. Fisher, MD. Since their founding in 1965, the Board of Associates has raised and contributed more than $21.5 million dollars for Fox Chase. “Breakthroughs and new treatment protocols are happening on a regular basis as Fox Chase continues to be one of the best cancer centers in the country,” says Debra Sniger, President of the Board of Associates. “Such enhancements are supported by the strong dedication and commitment of our chapters and volunteers.” The Board of Associates is made up of seven member organizations, totaling more than 300 volunteers who reside in the five-county area of the Delaware Valley. The seven member organizations are the Bucks County Chapter, Dan's Voice, Fox Chase Chapter, Friends of the Hospital of Fox Chase Cancer Center, Jimbo's Squad, Main Line Chapter, and Marlyn R. Fein Chapter. In the upcoming year, their goal is to increase their annual donation by 30%. “I know this is a big goal, but I am confident that working together we can achieve it,” Sniger says. “We have two new chapters – Dan’s Voice and the Main Line Chapter – both of which have numerous fundraising events already taking place.” For more information regarding their events or to join a chapter of the Board of Associates, please call 215-728-2441 or visit www.fccc.edu/helpingFoxChase/boardOfAssociates.
