I joined the pathology department at Fox Chase Cancer Center in 1994. With mostly senior level consultant pathologists, our pathology department is one of the strongest in the Delaware Valley. Our pathologists have a high degree of expertise in the diagnosis of tumors and tumor-related conditions. They are continuously sought after as consultants on difficult diagnostic cases in the tri-state area, as well as nationally, by other physicians and patients.
Our staff has particular expertise in the areas of hematologic, dermatologic, pulmonary, gastrointestinal and breast pathology and in the general diagnosis of solid tumors. The entire faculty is engaged in various clinical research projects and most are or have been officers in national professional societies. It is an honor to lead a team of such outstanding pathologists who are recognized for their high level of administrative and professional ability.
The department of pathology at Fox Chase has modern laboratories for the diagnosis and treatment of lymphomas and leukemias. Our state-of-the-art molecular pathology laboratory uses the latest techniques to identify patients at risk of breast, colon and ovarian cancers as well as those who are likely to respond to treatment for colorectal and lung carcinomas and sarcomas. The department of pathology at Fox Chase Cancer Center is one of the leading academic departments in the country and I am proud to be a part of it.
