In my 40 years as an oncology nurse, my philosophy has been to treat my patients with honor and respect. I believe that my role in caring for them is a privilege. I believe in helping to guide them to feel the best that they can, through not only treating their cancer, but also maximizing the most healthy choices in living their lives. This includes addressing patients' mental state (emotional stressors, coping skills, family issues), as well as physical status (exercise, sleep, nutrition, taking a holistic approach to wellness). I feel blessed to have chosen a career that I love.
