U.S. News and World Report Ranks Fox Chase Among Best in the Nation

Fox Chase Cancer Center has once again been ranked among the leading cancer centers in the nation, according to U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best Hospitals” listing. The Center is ranked 38th overall this year and is the highest rated specialty hospital in the Philadelphia region. The rankings—which cover 16 medical specialties and 94 metro areas—have been annually published by U.S. News & World Report for the past 22 years and will also be featured in the U.S. News Best Hospitals guidebook, which will be available August 30. Fox Chase Physicians Listed Among Among Region's Best in Philadelphia Magazine 2011 "Top Doctors" Issue

Philadelphia magazine has highlighted 31 Fox Chase Cancer Center physicians from a range of specialties in its May 2011 "Top Doctors" issue. The annual list of “Top Doctors” serves as an important standard for anyone seeking expert medical care in the Philadelphia area. Fox Chase Cancer Center's Beatrice Mintz, PhD, Receives the 6th Annual Szent-Györgyi Prize for Progress in Cancer Research

The National Foundation for Cancer Research (NFCR) announced today that Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Beatrice Mintz, PhD, has been awarded the 6th Annual Szent-Györgyi Prize for Progress in Cancer Research. Dr. Mintz, Professor and Jack Schultz Chair in Basic Science at Fox Chase, received the Prize for her discoveries of the relationship between development and cancer, based on construction and analysis of chimeric and transgenic mouse models. Her work has enabled the study of cancer and other genetic diseases to be carried out within the framework of the whole organism. Read more »
