Bucks County Chapter of Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Board of Associates to Host George Bramhall Memorial Art Exhibition and Sale

NEW HOPE, PA (October 10, 2013)—The Bucks County Chapter of Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Board of Associates will host the 17th Annual George Bramhall Memorial Art Exhibition and Sale—featuring works by more than 25 of the region’s finest artists—on Sunday, November 24 from 12:00-5:00 p.m. at the Eagle Fire Hall (46 N Sugan Road in New Hope, PA). A percentage of the proceeds from the event will benefit research at Fox Chase Cancer Center.

“We’re celebrating our 17th year and 40% of all art sales go directly to Fox Chase Cancer Center,” said Lee Beyer, President of the Bucks County Chapter of Fox Chase’s Board of Associates.

For those interested in attending a VIP preview of the exhibition, there will be an event held on Saturday, November 23 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Patrons attending the event will be the first to meet the artists, as well as preview and purchase their works prior to the public event on Sunday. The event will feature live music, cocktails, catered hors d’oeuvres, and a raffle of one of Gale Shanks beautifully painted canal scenes.

Admission and parking for the public event on Sunday are FREE and complimentary wine and light fare will be served. Raffle tickets may be purchased for a chance to win one of more than 25 artworks generously donated by the participating artists.

The artists to be exhibited are: Sandy Askey-Adams, Robert Beck, Jourdan Blanche, Catherine Colsher, Nathan Di Stephano, Heather Doherty, Darcy Feralio, Tom Gass, Judith Langen, Ilya Lerner, Justin Long, Christopher McCall, Bryan Oliver, Beth Palser, Margie Perry, Fred Place, Ron Prybycien, Bob Richey, Gale Shanks Scotch, Rye Tippitt, Helena Van Emmerick-Finn and Steve Zazenski.

The Board of Associates is a long standing group of volunteers who support patient care and cancer research at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Since 1965, the Board has grown to include six member organizations, which raise money for research and patient care through special projects and events. Over the years, they have raised more than $16 million dollars.

Fox Chase Cancer Center (Fox Chase), which includes the Institute for Cancer Research and the American Oncologic Hospital and is a part of Temple Health, is one of the leading comprehensive cancer centers in the United States. Founded in 1904 in Philadelphia as one of the nation’s first cancer hospitals, Fox Chase was also among the first institutions to be designated a National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center in 1974. Fox Chase is also one of just 10 members of the Alliance of Dedicated Cancer Centers. Fox Chase researchers have won the highest awards in their fields, including two Nobel Prizes.
