Fox Chase Cancer Center Day-Care Receives National NAEYC Accreditation
In November 2007, Creative Beginnings, the child-development program for children of Fox Chase Cancer Center employees, became one of the first early-childhood programs to earn accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) under the revised standards. Re-Accreditation for the Human Subjects Protection Program
In June 2007, the Fox Chase Cancer Center's Human Subjects Protection Program was fully re-accredited by the Association for Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP). A three-day review of the facilities and processes found that Fox Chase Cancer Center met or exceeded all the required safeguards on the rights and welfare of research participants.
Fox Chase Cancer Center was one of the first institutions to be accredited when the program was introduced in 2004, which also made it the first independent, comprehensive cancer care facility in Pennsylvania to qualify.
2007 Research Highlights
Harry Rozmiarek, DVM, PhD, ACLAM, Director and Attending Veterinarian, Fox Chase Cancer Center Laboratory Animal Facility, was elected to the Governing Board of the International Council for Laboratory Animal Science.
